SESA Study for the National Water Sector Strategy

A Strategic Environmental and Social Assessment for the National Water Sector Strategy (NWSS) is prepared under this component according to the Ministry of Environment SEA Decree 8213/2012.

Project Objectives:

• Assess the environmental and social impacts of the updated National Water Sector Strategy prepared by the Ministry of Energy and Water in 2020;

• Engage all relevant stakeholders through public consultation meetings, focus group meetings, and one-on-one meetings;

• Provide recommendations and high-level policy advice to the Ministry of Energy and Water to optimize the strategy and mitigate adverse environmental and social impacts.
