Visit of MP Al-Baarini
The President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR), Eng. Mohamad-Ali Kabbani, met with MP Walid Al-Baarini,  accompanied by a delegation from the municipalities of Akkar area, in the presence of the CDR's working team. During the meeting, discussions focused on the needs of the region and the status of the projects being implemented by the CDR in Akkar Governorate.
Meeting with a WB Delegation
The President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR), Eng. Mohamad-Ali Kabbani, received a delegation from the World Bank, in the presence of several members of the Board of Directors and the CDR's working team. Discussions focused on the scope of a study currently being prepared by the World Bank in collaboration with the CDR and a number of relevant ministries. The study examines regional integration and the strategic corridors for linking Lebanon to regional transport, trade, and energy networks.
The Visit of the President of the Republic
The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, received the President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR), Eng. Mohamad-Ali Kabbani, along with the CDR's Vice Presidents, Dr. Ibrahim Chahrour and Dr. Youssef Karam, and its Secretary-General, Eng. Ghassan Khairallah. During the meeting, discussions focused on the progress of the CDR's work, the plans set for the upcoming phases, and the challenges and difficulties it faces under the current circumstances.
Meeting with the World Bank Mission
The President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR), Eng. Mohamad-Ali Kabbani, met with a delegation from the World Bank in Beirut, in the presence of the CDR's Vice Presidents, Dr. Youssef Karam and Dr. Ibrahim Chahrour, as well as members of the CDR's team.The meeting focused on reviewing the status of three projects financed through World Bank loans: the LEAP Project, the GATE Project, and the Awali-to-Beirut Water Conveyance Project.
A meeting at the Municipality of Beirut
The President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR), Eng. Mohamad-Ali Kabbani, and his Vice President, Dr. Ibrahim Chahrour, participated in a meeting held at the Municipality of Beirut. The meeting was attended by the Governor of Beirut, Judge Marwan Abboud, the President of the Municipal Council, Ibrahim Zeidan, several members of the Municipal Council, and the Chairman of the National Authority for Solid Waste Management, Engineer Marwan Rizkallah.The meeting was dedicated to discussing the solid household waste management plan for the City of Beirut, particularly with regard to the operation of the Karantina sorting facility as part of an integrated waste management plan.
Participation in a Workshop in Cairo
The President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR), Eng. Mohamad-Ali Kabbani, participated as Guest of Honour in the workshop held in Cairo on Saturday, 13 June 2026, at the invitation of the African Federation of Construction Contractors’ Associations (AFCCA), with the participation of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) and the Confederation of International Contractors’ Associations (CICA).During a dialogue session dedicated to Lebanon, Eng. Kabbani outlined the principal challenges facing the reconstruction process in the country and highlighted the requirements for advancing recovery and development efforts. At the conclusion of the workshop, Eng. Hassan Abdel Aziz, President of the African Federation, presented a commemorative shield to Eng. Kabbani in recognition of his participation and his contributions to the discussions on reconstruction and development. 
Visit of the U.S. Ambassador
The President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR), Eng. Mohamad-Ali Kabbani, received the United States Ambassador to Lebanon, Mr. Michel Issa, in the presence of members of the Council's Board of Directors at the Council for Development and Reconstruction.During the meeting, both sides discussed the general situation in Lebanon, particularly the economic and social conditions. They also explored possibilities for cooperation, especially in the areas of investment in infrastructure projects, reconstruction efforts, and encouraging American companies to contribute to these initiatives.  
Courtesy Visit
The President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR), Eng. Mohamad-Ali Kabbani, received in his office, in the presence of Board Member Mr. Giorgio Kallas, Mr. Jean-Philippe DOP, Regional Agricultural Affairs Counselor, and Mr. Hedi GHILAS, Economic  Counselor at the French Embassy in Lebanon, on a courtesy and introductory visit.During the meeting, discussions focused on the GATE Project, which is financed through a loan from the World Bank. The parties also reviewed a number of projects being implemented by the CDR.      
Launch of the National Program for Board Governance
The President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR), Eng. Mohamad-Ali Kabbani, and members of the Board of Directors participated in the launch ceremony of the National Program for the Governance of Boards of Directors and Leadership in the Public Sector and the University Partnership Platform.The event was held at the Grand Serail  under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam, and was attended by the Ministers of Administrative Development, Public Works and Transport, and Agriculture.
