Odor Impact Assessment from Solid Waste Management Facilities and Landfills
within the Litani River Upper Basin

The study aims at assessing the odors from existing municipal solid waste landfills and management facilities within the Upper Litani Basin and neighboring Cazas to provide practical recommendations and suggestions on improved odor management for existing and potential solid waste management facilities.

Project Objectives:

• Provide a model/diagram showing the odor dispersion range per scale with respect to Solid Waste Management Facilities and Solid Waste Landfills;

• Assess the social and environmental impact of odors based on the results of the odor dispersion model with respect to the Solid waste facilities in Baalbeck, Zahle, Bar Elias and Jeb Janine.
