The President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction, Eng. Nabil El-Jisr, participated in a meeting held at the Grand Serail, in the presence of the Ministers of Finance and Environment, a representative of the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, as well as the governors of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, and representatives of companies operating in the solid waste sector in Beirut and Mount Lebanon. The attendees discussed some of the problems facing the delay in paying companies' dues and the reflection of the financial and monetary crisis on these contracts, in addition to the new landfill status in terms of protecting it from the entry of groups of extortionists.
